I get mine at a place in NewYork called “Fabrics for less” on 38th Street.
I’ll be bringing some pre-cut strips to the class, though....KennethOn 9/14/09 10:36 PM, "****@*****.com> wrote:
I am registered for your “Son of Cool Tricks” at the Novi Expo at the end of
September. One of the supplies is “loosely woven hairy mohair” for sleeve
heads. I am unable to find this, do you have a source? Either on
line or brick and mortar (I’m in the DC area) I’m really looking forward
to the Expo and hope to learn a lot of Cool Tricks.

Holy Smokes!
BetsyV suggested I email Kenneth King directly concerning my search for hairy mohair. I figured, "what the heck, what can it hurt?" Well, he answered me! Quickly, in fact. I sent my request last night about 10:30 and his response was in my box when I got to my office this morning. I am SOOO Cool. And you guys knew me when.

Excellent! Now you can go to the class without reservation.
ReplyDeleteWow! What a rush!
ReplyDeleteI would comment, but now that you are one of the cool kids I am sure that you don't read the comments from the little people anymore. LOL! :-D
ReplyDeleteYou will have so much fun with him! He was an absolute blast and fabulous teacher in NY, so enjoy yourself! I'm not surprised he replied (and quickly, too), since he's really very, very nice and wonderfully helpful!
ReplyDeleteWelll. And to think I knew you when.. I just know somewhere around here I have something with your autograph on it, must go looking :) K
ReplyDeleteBeebee I checked with Mom. Her shawl/cape thing in mohair and wool is knitted on large needles. Now, I remember her making it oh so long ago.
ReplyDeleteFirst - you are really going to enjoy the class! Second - the next time you are in NYC you will have to go there! And third, I am not surprised he answered you back...he really likes teaching home sewists and has a passion for it!
ReplyDeleteYou have to tell us all about the class when you get back!
