Sewing friends

Sorry, I have no photos. Really sorry, actually. But I spent yesterday afternoon aboard the Far Neinte with Marji and her husband, Cidell, Cidell's (Renee) frien Arielle from Haiti (who had some sad but somehow funny stories about her experiences last winter), Robin and Susan Khalje and her husband from whom I learned new meaning for the "s" word (serge). It was a beautiful afternoon aboard a beautiful boat with beautiful people with wonderful food and great conversation. Mostly sewing, but not all. Renee talked herself into 2 sergers in under an hour - not a record, I'm sure, but impressive. Marji is a great cook and that she can be that organized to live in that space amazes me. Truly amazes me. And Robin - I have no accent. Really, I don't.
I wish I pictures. I had to leave a bit earlier than most and didn't even haul out my camera.

  1. BB, I don't have pictures either but great memories and that's the most important, right? Great meeting you and, yes, I did read your blog before I met you! It's even on my Google Reader!

As I told Renee, I know people by their blogs, not their names, LOL!

  2. Ah yes, I came home and found Arielle's blog right away so I could update my blog roll. Arielle is a very warm person. Actually, we are all pretty interesting people with interesting stories. I expected we'd get around to some discussion of quilting but that never happened. I meant to tell you I actually ordered fabric scraps. Yes, I paid real actual money to buy scraps at the same time I was cleaning out my own scraps. But they are from Anna Maria Horner's studio, so it's OK :)
