Here you go folks. The AmEx scoop from last night's episode. First, let me say that it was a pretty dull challenge. Not an interesting theme, the clothes were dull, they even ditched the moms so the drama was gone. Not my favorite by a long shot. Seriously, the clothes were so bad, I won't even comment. Only that Jennifer was in the bottom three! That was the most exciting thing that happened. z-z-z-z-z-z
Fun things I learned after the show, though.
Chris March was one of the guests, along with Joe, the recently Auf'd designer. And seriously, he did make an auf-ful garment. Didn't fit her, didn't fit her life, bleck. But an-y-way. They showed a marvelous slide show of some of Chris' work outside PR. What a hoot! Remember he's a flamboyant drag queen. He had a costume where the feathers on the headdress cost $20,000. Yep, that's 4 zero's! It was awesome! Stood out about 6 feet all around. Also had a Queen Liz I, with a big red wig and huge farthingale. Yep, as Chris said, she IS a virgin. LOL. A kimono, the queen of hearts, mad hatter. Overall a riot, and Chris is so animated and loves both what he does and himself. Great entertainment. Not much class, but great entertainment.
Also learned that auf'd designers don't go home. They go to a sequestered house until the show is over. So all these auf'd designers hang out together for the rest of the season. That's how they were able to pull Chris back so fast last season. He was in sequestion only 24 hours when Mr. MRSA left with his nose sore (and can I just say GROSS!)
They have $8,000 to build their Bryant Park collections. Joe's collection was one of the decoy's and there was a peek into his stuff. Nice leather and denim without the hard Stella edge. Some real detail.
And that's the best of it... I posted a question about whether Terri's work really was sabotaged, but got it in too late for an answer. I'll have to be faster on the keyboard next week.
