And now, for something completely different

I got home yesterday and tried, again, to finish the waistband on the Burda skirt. I'm still not there, and I may have messed with until it's now FUBAR. It gets one more try before it hits the trash chute. I've learned my lesson about keeping unfinishables.

So, I decided something else was in order. And the camo-green corduroy skirt just isn't calling my name. And yes, I know I said - just a little while ago, in fact that I wasn't interested in quilting. Period. Well, I think I may have lied. Just a little bit. 'Cause this is what I started yesterday evening. And finished this evening. I was so surprised how fast it went together, and how unhard it was. Yes, I am aware that I chose the easiest pattern, short of a square, ever to grace a quilt. And I know it's only 16 blocks. BUT, it was also the first time EVER to do any type of piecing or quilting. And I think it turned out quite well. It's supposed to be "Houndstooth" and it is, but I also think it looks a little swastika-ky - and I'm not thrilled with that. Not perfect, but IT WAS MY FIRST TIME. If you're a follower, you'll recognize the two fabrics as a summer skirt (that I love) and top (that I didn't - and remade into this) and the JCC top - just the leftover, that shirt is still a shirt. I bought the binding, batting, and backing at Hancock's today for 1.95/yard. Used thread from stash. Now, the $64 question: what good is it? If I had a girl, she'd love it for her doll. Maybe I'll send it my niece, she's 2 and will like the crazy colors and has a lot of doll time ahead of her. It was all done my Singer 201, as the Pfaff is still in the hospital and I don't think it would have done half as nice a job. Really. At one point I thought the Singer couldn't do it. My first line of quilting was nasty. Loops on top and bottom, no tension. I was afraid it was too much. I am, once again, amazed at the old Singer company, though. I re-threaded the bobbin and tried again. Perfect. And it stitches so straight! Tra-la-la! Now I'm sure I did all kind of wrong things according my MIL - I pieced and quilted by machine. And I used a purple thread to quilt. But this is a far, far cry from heirloom work, so I just made it fun. And it was. Thinking about doing a livingroom throw next. Something real.

Oh, and my FabricMart order arrived yesterday. That was really speedy, I just ordered on Monday afternoon. I really like the paisley, it is destined to be a dress. It's a little micro-suede-ish, with a tad of stretch. It's darker than I thought, so it will age until fall. Really it's more of a burgundy than purple, quite fallish. The other 3 are bor-ing for pants.
So, what do you think? Seriously. I would like some hints on how to improve my accuracy. When it was all done, my blocks didn't line up well, I think my cutting was off and I'm pretty sure I shaved pieces off my template as I went.

Sunday domestication

I've been plagued by a number of failures recently that have just about robbed me of my sewing mojo. So today I chose an easy, fun project that I could complete and use: I used the pattern I snagged from my MIL over Christmas: It is a 1982 from McCall's and it wasn't without it's challenges. Primarily a missing page of directions and missing pattern pieces. I really kind of wanted the bibbed style, but yes, that piece was missing. I may self draft one some time and add it. Or not. But anyway, it was fun and easy. I used some quilting fabric from Hancock's that I bought for room pillows when we first moved into the apartment and our bedroom stuff was still in Detroit. The red pillows are stashed in storage and I had about a yard left. For the pockets I used a scrap left from making a Garman cover (a.k.a. a coat for Jill). I kind of liked the fringed salvage so I just left it as the top and added a little decorative stitching around the edge. I like the decorative stitches, but don't have much cause to use them day-to-day, so I took an opportunity. Another missing piece was the waist band, so I just winged it, I added the center as a "design element" rather than piecing the same fabric. I had enough to do it all in red, but that was a little boring for something as whimsical as an apron.
And I made a replacement cover for Kacy's collar: so, yes, I sew for my dog. (Can you see me rolling my eyes? I am. And I'm afraid they'll get stuck there)

My next project will be a skirt from the same pattern I used back in June for the mini-capsule http://beebeepastiche.blogspot.com/2008/06/jcc-real-story-or-what-you-wont-read-on.html, V8363. Kind of a TNT for me, it's fast, it fits, and I can wear it to work. I think I'll make view C with the side buttons out of a GStreet $6 wool skirt length in a black windowpane - very small checks. I may cut tomorrow night and something to work on this week. Then perhaps I'll be ready to tackle the Burda slacks that I really want, but just a little scared of right now. I need to study the zipper tutorials. With a NYC and Baltimore shopping trip and a move planned in the next 6 months I need to move along some of my stash and I've had a very slow and disappointing winter of sewing so far.

What I did on my relaxing day off. This week

This week's relaxing day off went much better. MUCH. Now they still aren't finished putting the apartment back together from the last time, but there was no one in my apartment all day and I got some sewing done. YEA!

I have put together a July Capsule based on the following fabrics, both are from G Street, the green is a silk noir and the print is a cotton batick. I made a skirt from B5056, view B. It's a little sporty, and I wanted something casual for summer wear. I cut out this skirt and a top from 2 yards of the print. Here's how close I was to having enough fabric. In fact, I had to piece the waistband. I did have a ton o fun topstitching the fly, waistband and hem. And finally, the completed project.

JCC - The real story. Or what you won't read on SG - well, maybe some of it.

I got back into sewing last December - right before Christmas. I'd been kicking the idea around for a while, thinking my 201 had finally bitten the dust I'd given up a few years ago (but that's a story for a different entry, someday when there's nothing else to tell). I used to sew a lot, then a little, then none. But I needed a hobby, a creative outlet and clothes that fit. I enlisted the help of my BFF who assisted in machine research and got me hooked up with SG. (THANKS! KT)

I followed along on the SWAP in jaw dropping awe. I envisioned me whipping up a few things that hopefully didn't smack too much of happy hands at home and instead found a world of inspiration and detail. Of course now the bar is much higher!

Right after the SWAP, evjc proposed a JCC - 5 items including an accessory. She set the bar where I could hurdle it: one could be RTW, one could be sewn prior to June. That left 3 to do, I could do 3 in a month. And have some clothes that go together, that I planned and that fit.

I had just finished the floral skirt, and it became the inspiration for the capsule. Nothing fancy, it's V8363, the pattern determined by the amount of fabric I had. I'd picked up a remnant of Mills Creek home dec at G Street in Potomac just as they were closing. Now, let me say that I'm obsessed with this stuff. Don't know why, it's home dec and the pieces are small, but I love them. Whatever. I love this skirt. I like the way it looks. I like the way it fits. I like the way it feels. And I like the way I feel when I'm in it. I've worn it 4 times already, my only regret has been that it took me so long to finish the top to go with it.

I made this easy for me on skirt number 2. Although I'm a little tired of the pencil thing, I really wanted to finish this. I kicked around changing it out some, even thought of a tulip skirt or slacks, but in the end went back to safe and used the same pattern. I like it, it fits, and it works well with the fabric. This one also from GStreet - but at the FC location - purchased when my BFF spent a couple of days here and we went JCC shopping. I also picked up the lavender for the top on that trip. The skirt stuff was off their bargain table. I'd combed the store over and over and didn't find anything I liked to go with the blouse fabric - story below. Went back to the bargain bin once more while BFF was having some stuff cut and saw this: peeking out from under some pink fleece and green knit stuff. It has a little stretch, nice hand, washed great, and the stripes are actually a texture. AND it looked really good with the lavender. I'm very pleased. I hope I enjoy this skirt as much as the other one. I have enough fabric left for a vest, I think. It's on the soon to do list, after I finish my dress.

The top is V8419. Again, it's a repeat. I even reviewed it PR the first time - I think there's a link on my blog. This time, to make it office appropriate, I added the sleeves. The pattern options are long and fluffy long, so I took the long and shortened them. I was surprised - and not in a good way - at how it fit. You can see the pulling at the bust line and sleeve. Not as uncomfortable as it looks, but I'm not happy. I'll wear it, but will work on the fit some for next time. This top taught me that I absolutely need to do a FBA and cut down my size. Less obvious from the photo is that the shoulders are too wide and you can't see the gap at the back. When I made this in sleeveless, I think I liked the slight overhang, it was drapey and looked good. Not so much with a sleeve. Also, I added a bit of embellishment to the sleeve hem:
Just a little tone on tone stitching. I liked the first sleeve, it turned out nicely, but the second one just didn't do the same. I made no changes to the machine, but the stitches looked different, heavier and puckered. I may redo that sleeve sometime.

I was amazed at how hard it was to find fabric to match the floral. Remember I'd already decided on that skirt - and I'm nothing if not stubborn. So off BFF & I went to GS, blissfully sure I could just snatch something up that would look great, grab another fabric to make another skirt and off I'd go. Not so, my friends, not so. Taupe and beige were my first thoughts, but *ZZZZZZ*, just BORING. So I turned to the blues/purples. Better, but dang that was tough. Everything that was the right color was the wrong fabric - velvet or knit or raincoat. I almost ended up with an 80's double knit - pretty sure I worked with a woman who had that in a pantsuit. AKK! Last ditch effort, I wandered into the quilting cottons - uncharted territory for me. But there, on a shelf, lined up, all neat in a row, were 8 choices all acceptable. Laid out my skirt, piled them around and came out with this one. Of course I then had to find skirt #2 fabric.

Now I know why nothing I own matches. Whew! It was a challenge but a good one and I loved it.

The necklace doesn't get much blog-space. It's just there. The only interesting part is that the dark pearls were brought to me by DH from a trip to Guam. I have a longer strand of larger pearls from the same trip that I will most likely wear with this, but they didn't require any work so couldn't be submitted for the JCC.
White pearls are from Michael, also purchased with BFF on the same shopping trip.
Sew, there you have it. The story of the JCC - Purple Haze. I enjoyed doing this, I learned a lot, it was a blast participating and I FINISHED!!!
In our write-up to declare FINISHED we were supposed to say why we thing we should win. I couldn't do that. I don't think I should - I already did, I completed this. I know my competition and my level of competency and I know where I stand. I didn't do it for the $50 or for the glory. I did it for the experience and the participation and I got that. THANKS ELIZABETH!!!!
So, now you know, "the rest of the story". I'll add a few more pic's to my flickr, but it's acting up some, so that may not happen quickly. Thanks for tuning in.

I'm Back!!!!

Sorry lurkers, friends and curiousity seekers, it's been a while since I've posted. I've just been really busy, including a few days in Florida - I have the peeling shoulders to prove it.

I'm am almost done with my JCC, I'll officially finish in the morning. It includes 2 skirts I made, 1 shirt I made, a beaded necklace I made and a purchased blouse. I am very happy with my skirts, the top I made is kinda iffy. I will take photos in the morning and post them this weekend. So youse guys gets a sneak peek. It's against the rules to post flat photos, so I'll redo them in the AM in the daylight.

Let's talk about the top. I really like this pattern when I used it before and thought it fit well. Well, I was wrong. It's too big. I had this big light bulb moment when I tried it on, that I really need to be sizing down and doing a FBA. It gaps in the back at the zipper, the shoulder seams are beyond my shoulders. And I put some fancy-dancy stitching on the sleeves to dress it up just a tad. The first sleeve did nicely. Very subtle, tone on tone, just barely shows up. The second, with no changes on my part, just looks different. Too bold, the pattern isn't "even" and it puckered some. I may have to completely re-do the sleeves, or even remove them. I don't think the pic's will show this - I have a learning curve to conquer on my camera.

On your mark, get set, SEW!

Sew, today is June 1 and the official start of the June Capsule Competiton from Stitcher's Guild. I made my "made before June" item back in May and have even worn it a couple of times already. I used a home dec rement I found at GStreet - Potomac Mills just before they closed out that location. The colors formed the basis of my capsule:

The lavendar is a quilting cotton from GStreet FC and the blue stripe is also from there. They were purchased when K was here in May. We also stopped at Michaels and I got the beads for the accessory. The white is a RTW cotton blouse - the one purchased item. So..... that's the background.

As of now, at 3pm on Sunday, I have cut out the top and the skirt, including skirt lining. And I have sewn the lining. I will probably get further tonight after W leaves for Kuwait. I'd like to finish it today, to be honest. And if the zipper cooperates, I may do so - hemming excluded.

__________________________________________

I have a pile of altering I need to do, though, as well. Issues with time? Oh, yeah.

Notice the snazzy new pictures - the 2 on the left. W bought himself a new Nikon Coolpix yesterday and I got to play with it. I asked for a camera for Mother's Day, I got the first season of "The Tudors", W's comment on his purchase was "this will be our new camera, I can keep it in my manpurse". Doesn't that still leave me without a camera? Hmmmm. But you gotta love the manpurse. Really his briefcase - a softside computer bag that make me envious of the stuff he totes around. Need a sinus pill, no problem, toothbrush? Gotcha covered. Had a little accident? Hang on a sec, I have a spare pair here somewhere.

The buttonholer for my Singer arrived from Ebay, safe & sound. It's missing a cam, though - there should have been one in the holer and there wasn't. Still haven't played with it any, just no time! Maybe this week I can dig out the machine and play some.

More My Space Pics

I sat down to do this last night and fell asleep before I found my first photo. That would have been okay if I hadn't woken up at midnight and flopped around until 2. So, here you go, just a little late. These pictures were taken from the loft area, looking down on the living area. Much smaller spaces than we used to have. And for you sewers, I made the lovely coffee table cover out of some home dec from Hancocks, the same as I used to cover the icky black plastic dining room chairs - not really visable in the "arial" photo, but you can see them in the table view. You can also see that I need to go wine shopping, I'm dangerously low, apparently! In fact, the more I look at that photo, the more worried I get, the one on the bottom is empty, I just liked the bottle - it was some sticky sweet goo from Romania, but the bottle was interesting. This simply won't do.

I started working on my Advanced Beginner Competition skill last night. I cut out the front of the pattern from an old shirt of W's that ripped - fabric is a pretty good match to the one I'll be using - remember this is also one of the garments for the JCC, so I have it picked out already. I did one side as per pattern directions and put pintucks in the other side. I like the look of the tucks, actually from the "wrong" side better than right side, but I need room to put more in: 1/4 inch per tuck, 3 tucks = 3/4 inch. The called for dart requires 2 1/4 inches, so I need 7 more? I just don't think I can make that work, I don't want to slash and add fabric. Sew.... next trial will be to make my 20 total across the entire front and see if I get a good proportion - you know, that seems like a lot, I need to recheck my math. If that fails, maybe I'll just do PT's in lieu of the waist darts. I needed some extra "take in" there anyway. I'll try to get some photos up of these attempts this weekend. I'm using the pintuck foot from my Singer 201 on my Pfaff, I may switch to the Singer for these stitches, the feed dogs are better spaced for the foot, I think. I'm wondering if I should make the tucks with a contrasting or coodinating rather than matching thread? Again, a couple of trials should answer this.
I need a dress for a company event, in Florida, in 2 weeks. I stopped at Ann Taylor at Union Station yesterday, only one possible and not even close to my size. I did find some other niceties on sale including some really beautiful white slacks. Now, Zoubida, if you're looking, I'm going to try really, really hard NOT to spill ketchup or mustard - or any other condiment - on them. I wonder how black dog hair will fair? Couple of other nice summery tops to take with us, we're going to spend a couple of extra days down there. Looking forward to this - I haven't been in Florida in 5 years or so? Maybe play some golf, find the beach, drink Margaritas, get sunburned. Ahhh. Now how did I get from a cocktail dress to margaritas on the beach? Hmmm. But I still need a dress and those skills are just above mine, I'm afraid. Though I do keep tracking back to a Laura Ashley pattern and my very stiff Anna Sui fabric. I may still give that a shot. It's sleeveless, not black, slim fitting.... We'll see.

I'm back!

I know it's been a while, but I finally got my camera working a little better and took some pictures of my sewing work. Photo's are being uploaded into my flickr account as I type.

First, I'm going to discuss my combination June Capsule Competition entry at Stitcher Guild and the simultaneous and spontaneous Advanced Beginner Competion at Pattern review. The JCC requires 4 garments and 1 accessory: at least on bottom, one may be sewn before June and one may be purchased. The Advanced Beginner, also running for the month of June, requires one garment that must be sewn completely in June and has one new technique. Sew.... Here are my JCC fabrics. The skirt is V8363, view C, without the side buttons. It is my "sewn before June" item, the fabric is a Mills Creek home dec remnent from the now closed Potomoc Mills G Street. K & I hit the Falls Creek store on Saturday afternoon and finished our JCC shopping. The lavender cotton, a quilting cotton will be the top (the other top, not shown, is a white blouse - currently at the laundry) and the stripe will be the other bottom. Maybe from the same pattern - not sure yet. Now, to add the PR AB twist: I want to make my "new skill" to be pintucks AND I want to use V8419, with short sleeves. SO that will require changing the darts and pleats to pintucks. I'll have to try it out on some scraps first. The colors on the bottom photo are the most true.
Okay, enough for one night, but I have more for tomorrow. I'm having lunch with a SG new friend and maybe another. I'm looking forward to this and I'll update tomorrow and post some new pics of other projects.

Light at the end of the tunnel

We made it back to DC late last night after driving through a monsoon for 10 hours. Seriously, folks, it was pouring when we left Detroit and had to drive 35 miles out of our way because I75 was closed. Say "Goodbye to Michigan - land where it's acceptable to close major freeways for months at a time". Slight weather break in Ohio, and picked up the rain plus hurricane winds in Pennsylvania. Kacy slept the whole way, but she always does, she's such a good little traveler. NOT such a good leash pooper, though. Unload the car at the doors to the elevator, open the door, prop open the door with a computer bag - I KNEW that thing would come in handy! Slide all items into the foyer and push the elevator button. Wait. Watch the dog shake and freak. Wait. The door opens and start sliding all items into the door. Every 10 seconds, the elevator bitch (for the visually and apparently hearing impared) yells, "Door Closing, step away from the closing door". Yeah, that helps the dog calm down. She's on her belly trying to dig her claws into the tile floor, no way is she getting on that thing with those moving boxes. Up to the fifth floor with the still shivering cowering dog - I'm waiting for her to pee any second. And repeat the box dance: slide them out of the elevator, Open the door to the hall and prop the door open with the computer bag - I've used that thing twice now! And you said it was a waste of money, geez. Slide everything past that door into the hall. Now start carrying stuff down the hall. Real easy with a 70 lb dog freaking out at the end of the leash trying to simulatiously trip you and pull you over. Dump the stuff in the apartment, put on a rain coat, dig out an umbrella - remember the typhoon - and take the dog, who hasn't peed in 6 hours - outside. Walk around for 1/2 hour with no results, go back upstairs and watch her pace the floor. 2 hours later, repeat performance. Give up for the night and repeat in the morning, Noah's rain included.
We're getting our furniture delivered and stored on Wednesday. Soooo we're almost done. This has been a long time coming!
Karen's coming to DC this week, she has a conference in the District. We'll meet up for dinner a couple of times and she's going to spend Saturday night here. Probably hit GStreet on Saturday afternoon and then do dinner in Old Town. I suspect she's going to want her Janome back, though. Ah, well, it was a good run.
I worked on my skirt for the June Capsule some. Got the zipper put in - first time, most beatimously. Tried it on and it was too big, so I had to take it in and the lining so I didn't get it finished. I might tomorrow night, though. The rest should go fast: attach lining, waist band, hem. I may even try a button hole for the waist band. Hey, it COULD happen. When KT & I go to GStreet I need to find some coodinating fabrics for this for the capsule. I will need another skirt fabric and at least one top. I'd like to do 2 tops, but that may not happen. Have to do an accessory, too. I'm thinking belt, but maybe beading. Something simple and quick.

I made my first Craig's list posting today: FOR SALE FAST: This stuff has to go so I have room for my real stuff on Wednesday. I'll give you a great deal!
Well it's late and I have to work tomorrow. Good night lurkers.....

Movin' on IV and Sewing

Still working on cleaning out the house. What a collection of junk we've accumulated in 13 years! And never realized what a pack rat W is! It goes like this: W: "We should go thru those cookbooks and clean out the ones we don't use" Me: "okay, good idea, we have a ton and only use a few". So I drag a chair over to the fridge, climb up, still can barely reach the books with my little stumpy arms, and start pawing thru them. I pull out a book on Hungarian cooking - yes, Hungarian, who cooks Hungarian? Goolash. Done. So I hand the book to W to put in the Salvation Army box. W: "I didn't know we had that. Why don't we ever cook anything out of it?" Me: "Because its Hungarian and nobody cooks Hungarian, especially me". W: "Well, it might be interesting, put it back". So I climb down from the chair, drag the chair back to the table and to upstairs to cull thru 80's clothing. I just don't think his hearts in this.
We did manage to get through about a filing drawer of old junk and I threw away papers from as far back as Franklin Road. But the Pack Rat return and wouldn't let me toss closing paper on houses we lived in 25 years ago. I think I may have mentioned his attachment to old stuff?
AND he hurt his back. He can't move, has to go to the doctor tomorrow, he's been taking K's old muscle relaxers all weekend, so he can't drive. He can't bend over and can't lift anything. Cleaning out the storage unit presents a problem without him. It's all his junk, I'd've tossed his wagon, bent fence pieces and broken doors years ago. But no, the Pack Rat reigned.
We signed the lease for K's appt yesterday, but they're a little hosed up in move in time, we won't get him in until Thursday or Friday, we really needed him out sooner. Hopefully we can get the Salvation Army in here on Tuesday.
Haven't heard from our carrier yet, so we're behind on that schedule.
I met the new owner this morning, I think she's been stalking our house. She's met the neighbors, scoped out the bus stops, scouted out the budding flowers in the back yard. I'm a little creeped out, frankly.
I hate moving.
On to sewing. I joined the June Capsule sewing contest. In a capsule, 4 items and 1 accessory, 1 may be purchased, one may be sewn before June. At least one top and one bottom. All must go together, including the accessory. oh, and NO BLACK!!! Yikes. I think my plan is:
Use the skirt in process for my "sewn before June". It's from a Mills Creek remnent in mauves, taupes, tans and greens from G Street in Potomac Mills.
Use a white shirt for the "purchased"
Make a top with the color of the skirt
Make another skirt to wear with the top and the white shirt.
I think I'll try a belt for the accessory, as I think the skirt needs one. Or I may do some beading if I have time.
If time allows, I'll make another top instead of using the white purchase one, we'll just have to see.
I've never done any kind of sewing competition, nor any kind of coordinated sewing, so (sew?) this is a big step for me. Pretty sure I nothing in my stash that will work for these, so I'll have to (get to?) go shopping for a couple of coordinating pieces.
This does push back my self imposed mini PJ swap. I already have the fabrics for the 2 tops for this. I need get two more for bottoms or use the rest of the knits for short bottoms if I have enough left over.
In my cleaning out, I found - and kept - a calendar my mom used briefly as a diary. It was for the year I was married. I won't get sobby about the point that the only mention of this was on the date: "B's Wedding", my point was more painful. She had a series of entries about sewing: "looked for patterns", "found fabric", "finished cutting", etc. At the end: "finished E's dress. She doesn't like it. NEVER AGAIN". Someday, my friends, we'll have a talk about my sister. And then about my cousins. Mom had cancer during this period and frequently felt ill. She died about 3 years later, and this dress was likely the last thing she ever made. I know I took her machine even before she died, she told me I could have it, she wouldn't be sewing anymore.
Well, now that I've cheared you guys up....on to other pursuits

Movin' on III

Well, I'm home now, got here this afternoon, haven't heard from our carrier about the move, K's apartment won't be ready when they said it would, and W's plane was major delayed out of Chicago. AKKKKK! I was really hoping there would be a big ol' "sold" sign in my front yard, but no..... Cleaned out one bag of clothes and tossed some bathroom stuff. Not really very productive on this. **sigh** No sewing for me for a while, though I did pet my Singer. And it will come and live with me now. Looking forward to that, I want to use the feet. Yep, feet don't fail me now!
Oh, but I had a fantastic idea this morning on the plane: I have a grand-niece to sew for!! YES!! Why didn't this occur to me before!? Toddler girl clothes?? A sewer's dream! Pink, ruffles, no fitting issues, I'm now on a mission. Look out Natalie, you're going to be one hot baby!

I had to leave my current project unfinished. A straight skirt using V8363 view A without the overlay. I'm using a Mills Creek remnent from G Street, the Potomoc Mills store while it was in close out. I got the skirt and the lining cut, darts - all 16 - done, the side seams and back on fashion. I didn't get the zipper done, so I'm stalled until I get back and unpacked. I really love the fabric, tans and mauves - very springy, not so drab. I can wear to work, I think I'll add carriers to dress up the waist with a belt. I WANT TO FINISH THIS!!! Then I want to make a toddler sun dress! Natalie NEEDS a sundress. And matching bloomers - aka diaper covers. And maybe a purse, cause little girls just love purses.
Been lurking around other blogs, and I think I need to make some changes here. Any ideas? Anybody? Suggestions? Recommendations? ANYBODY out there? I know there've been a couple of lurkers..... what would make you come back? Obviously listening to my horribly boring life isn't doing it.....
Well, "What Not to Wear" is on and no one's reading, so.... see ya.
