This past week we moved our son out of his Detroit area apartment and into our house in Maryland. This has been a lot of work, as when I said "we moved", I meant my husband and I packed, loaded, drove, unloaded and now are unpacking his stuff. The house mods aren't done yet so we (ok, my husband) is having to play human elevator to complicate things. I have a picture, somewhere - when I can find my camera, of the truck literally packed to the rafters. But nothing shifted or broke. It truely was a wonder of packing marvel.
I feel like I've been moving forever. And there may be another in the not-too-distant future. My feet hurt.
It sounds exhausting. I hope you are getting some time for yourself soon. take care.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can get settled soon. What a hassle, but it's nice all of you are together.
ReplyDeleteHaving just survived moving Dan and I from two homes into one this summer, I offer this small suggestion: epsom salts. They help tremendously. ;)
ReplyDeleteGood luck with all the unpacking!
I'm glad it's done (for now), and really glad that we had a chance to meet and hang out! Best of luck to your son with his fresh start in DC, and please keep in touch! I'm your "go to" girl if you ever need a Haberman's fix!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope your son settles in fine. How nice to have him with you. You need to put your feet up and dream about sewing. You deserve it!
ReplyDeleteThank God nothing broke. I hope you get a break soon.

BeeBee,
ReplyDeleteThis all sounds rather exhausting, so sit down, have a glass of wine, and think about football time in Big Orange Country or new fall sewing.
