    Good afternoon: The first arrangement is fine, but it is rather the expected. The second is definitely jazzier. The pattern could be moved over a bit more if possible so that the solid part is even narrower. Either way, great fabric. I look forward to seeing the finished garment. How about keeping us in suspense?

    I like the vertical orientation better, but I avoid large motifs around my hips. Can you cut it so half the motif is on one side in front and the opposite side on the back?

    I definitely like the second, vertical placement better. Most of the time I avoid horizontals (makes me look fatter!)
